BALI SAFARI AND MARINE PARK
Home to hundreds of amazing animals, and representing over 60 species, including some rare and endangered species such as the Komodo, Orang Utan, and the Bali Mynah, this wildlife conservatory is just 20 minutes drive from Anapuri. You can choose to enjoy your safari journey from the Elephant Back Safari, interact with your favorite animal up close at the Animal Encounter space, or experience the wildest fine dining moment surrounded by lions, meerkats, and porcupines.
UBUD MONKEY FOREST
Sangeh Monkey Forest or ‘Obyek Wisata Bukit Sari Sangeh’ is a sanctuary of grey long-tailed macaques (Macaca fascicularis) in the village of the same name, located approximately 20 minutes drive from Anapuri. The monkey forest boasts six hectares of fertile forestland with primordial, giant nutmeg trees which grow to a height of 40m. The sanctuary is considered sacred, where the macaques inhabit both the woods and the 17th century Pura Bukit Sari, a temple located deep within the greens.
WHITE WATER RAFTING
Ayung River rafting in Bali offers an exciting day out at the location where the island’s white water rafting adventure scene was first introduced. As Bali’s longest and largest river, Ayung River and its rafting offer a thrilling pastime that also offers sightseeing opportunities of Central Bali’s upland, where you get to cool off under a waterfall, wade through or jump into crystal-clear freshwater pools, and catch the occasional sight of exotic birds and wildlife.
Pabean Beach and its neighbouring shores are famous in the surfing community. Quicksilver Pro annually host events in the area, at Keramas Beach (just 10 minutes from Anapuri) with surfers from around the world coming to enjoy the breaks.
BEDUGUL AND PURA ULUN DANU BRATAN TEMPLE
A major Shivaite and water temple on Bali, the temple complex is located on the shores of Lake Bratan in the mountains near Bedugul. Water temples serve the entire region in the outflow area. Downstream there are many smaller water temples that are specific in style and size.
Built in 1663, this temple is used for offerings ceremony to the Balinese water, lake and river goddess Dewi Danu.
